The weather was kind to the 12 intrepid walkers who completed the 13 mile walk from the Abrahams stadium to Waltham Abbey’s Capershotts ground on Saturday 12th February.

A good time was had by all, although complaints of stiff legs – certainly from the older of the fraternity – was a common theme upon arrival!

The club would like to thank Waltham Abbey FC for generously advertising the walk in advance, with special thanks going to Abbotts club secretary Derek Bird for his enthusiasm and support during the event.

Money is still coming in, and with the pledge of further donations, it is anticipated the final amount could reach over £2000. We would like to thank everyone who contributed for making the walk nothing but an unqualified success.
