Wingate & Finchley FC are always keen to work with schools in the area, promoting healthy lifestyles and participation in sport. Last season we liaised with All Saints Primary School in Whetstone as part of their healthy living week, attending an assembly, providing a coaching session at the ground and inviting the children along as match day mascots.

The club also attended a Winter Fete at Moss Hall Junior school, donating a star prize for the auction, and will be helping out at the Woodridge School Fete later in the month.

Wingate and Finchley FC work closely with Barnet Mencap providing coaching and fund raising opportunities. A monthly coaching session is run at the club and the boys and girls always stay behind for the first XI game, being some of the most vocal fans in the ground!

In October, The Blues plan to enter an affiliated Mencap team in the Camden Step League, which will form part of the club’s commitment to provide opportunities for people of all backgrounds and abilities.

 

 

 

 

CHARITIES

 

Wingate & Finchley FC work with a number of local charities and good causes in order to establish and reinforce a community focused ethos. The club is proud to represent Finchley and the surrounding area, and is always open to considering new ideas and partnerships.

Plans are also underfoot for a new fund raising campaign next season.

 FOOTBALL IN THE COMMUNITY

Wingate and Finchley FC will be expanding their football in the community programme, and are looking for groups and businesses to work with in order to promote a structured programme that can assist and develop those of all ages and backgrounds. A number of projects are in the preliminary discussion phase, and details will be released as and when available.
