Wingate & Finchley welcomed Redbridge to The Abrahams Stadium for the Blues penultimate home match of the season and enjoyed the better of a scrappy first half with Matthew Batt superbly controlling the ball before releasing Danny Berg who could not guide his effort home. The Blues were rewarded for their superiority just before the break when a Daniel Stanton corner found the head of Craig Ellis whose effort struck the hand of Sam Holloway giving GUY MORRIS the chance to stroke home his second penalty in successive games.
Five minutes into the second half and DANIEL CLARKE reacted quickest to a mix up between the visiting keeper and centre half to lob Daly and double the Blues advantage. Former Barnet centre forward Tobi Oshitola showed his ability finding space and nutmegging Guy Morris before squaring the ball into the middle where Guy Helman blocked and Guy Morris completed the clearance, another chance came to Oshitola but he wasted the effort, it was Oshitola who was at the heart of every Redbridge move and when he again beat Guy Morris and found former Blues man Danny Boateng, Thompson produced a good save to maintain the Blues two goal lead. With four minutes remaining Daly in the Redbridge goal went missing and CHRIS WEST scored the Blues third to send the supporters home happy as the season draws to a close.
