Wingate FC's Alan Landesberg Dies

The Club was very sad to learn today of the passing of Alan Landesberg. Alan played a pivotal role in rescuing the Club from extinction in 1974 when he along with 5 other supporters provided the financial and administrative support to rebuild the Club. Without Alan there would be no Wingate Football Club today. Alan had two Sons Andrew and Gary who played with great distinction for many years for the Club. We wish long life to Jean (Alan's wife), Andrew, Gary and all The Landesberg family.

The funeral will be at Bushey Cemetery at 11am on 11th March. Due to the current coronavirus situation there will be no period of Shiva/mourning.
