Corinthian Casuals

With the match being delayed for 10 minutes due to there being a hole in the pitch near the centre circle, the match would go from bad to worse for Wingate on the quarter hour mark, when Warren Mfula rolled home a shot when one on one with the goalkeeper to put Casuals 1 up. It would take just under another 15 minutes for the visitors to double their lead, when Mfula slotted past ‘keeper Hale-Brown in almost an identical fashion to his first of the afternoon, sending the Blues into the break two goals for the worst.
The second half looked set to see more control by the visitors, but it was indeed Wingate who snatched the first goal of the half, when Bilal Sayoud scored his second goal in as many games, heading in a perfectly timed cross by Luke Ifil on 56 minutes. The latter stages of the game saw little action of note, with the only events worthy of note being a flurry of substitutions.
This was the case, until the 84th minute, when Darnell Goather-Braithwaite was able to latch onto a loose ball to slot home, after Laraba had his shot saved by the goalkeeper.
The Blues go again this Monday afternoon, away at Haringey Borough, 1pm kick off.
