Wingate Youth Trust together with Wingate and Finchley FC are proud to have worked with the Meketa charity (www.meketa.org.uk) to send football kits and funds to support the Jewish children in Ethiopia. The community have a number of soccer teams who compete in their local leagues. This is a great way of helping to integrate within the general community and is very akin to the origins of Wingate FC which was the formation of a Jewish football club in England and proved so successful when playing non-Jewish teams after WW2.
