Ahmet Rifat commits for 2025/26

The club is delighted to announce that Ahmet Rifat has committed to the club for another season. After taking over the role of manager in October 2022, he started his tenure with a 3-0 win at Canvey Island, before leading the Blues to safety in 2022/23 with a 16th placed finish, amassing 48 points. In 2023/24, Rifat oversaw the Blues' highest ever finish, achieving 4th place and 76 points, taking us into the playoffs, for only the second time ever at this level. His achievements in that season saw him recognised as 'gaffer of the season'. Last season, in a campaign which saw many ups and downs, the Blues settled into a final position of 11th, with 60 points.

Ahmet has now managed over 100 matches for the club, on top of over 400 playing appearances for a club, and 2025/26 will mark his 18th season representing Wingate & Finchley. We look forward to another season ahead under Ahmet's leadership and will have more news to follow soon on his playing squad.
