A dominant first 60 minutes saw Wingate & Finchley cruise past a below-par Dartford side, with a 3-1 victory in North London. The hosts got off to the perfect start, as Mackye Townsend-West nodded home a bullet header from a corner.

Less than half an hour later, the Blues deservedly doubled their lead, through a stunning, three-man move. Sam Cornish lofted a delightful ball over to teenage debutant, Afi Adebayo, who curled a pearler onto the outside of the post, only as far as Camilo Restrepo who tapped home for two nil.
Ady Pennock’s intentions were made clear at the restart, enforcing a triple Dartford substitution. However, Ryan Lowe piled further misery onto the visitors, watzing through their entire midfield and slotting past Jon Henly, to extend the Wingate advantage.

As the walls began to close on Dartford’s afternoon, Dan Smith pulled one back, poking home from a goalmouth scramble. Ahmet Rifat’s team showed fantastic character to see the victory through, and provide some much-needed stability in their quest for Step Three survival!
Next up for the Blues is an exciting Velocity Cup semi-final trip to Redbridge, on Tuesday night!
