Charity Walk for Children's Charity

A group of Wingate & Finchley FC supporters will forgo the usual methods of travel to their away fixture with Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday 5th April, by taking to the road and walking the 13 miles instead. The Blues are undertaking the walk as part of the ongoing fundraising campaign for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. Mike Bayly said. “We held a walk a few years ago to Waltham Abbey FC which was a lot of fun, so it made sense to do something similar. We wanted to make the walk a reasonable challenge but not so excessive that younger or older supporters would be excluded. We already have a lot of people signed up to take part, including some who will be undertaking smaller legs of the journey, which is fantastic. Dulwich Hamlet FC have also allowed us hold a half time bucket collection at their ground, for which we are immensely grateful." More information on the Community Day can be obtained by emailing mike@wingatefinchley.com Further details on the club’s sponsored walk can be found by visiting the fundraising page HERE
