Club Announces New Development Side

Wingate & Finchley are delighted to announce that we will field a development squad in the Herts Senior Premier Division for the 2020/21 season in conjunction with SCA London (football and Education Academy).

The squad will be managed by UEFA A Licence Coach Ben Hanley, and it will provide a perfect platform for young players in the area to develop in men's football and be a pathway for promising EJA players.

First team manager Spencer Knight said "This is a great addition to the football club. It will give a much clearer pathway from our exciting youth teams ultimately to the first team which can only benefit everyone in the long term. This development squad will also allow returning injured first team players competitive football without the need to go on loan outside of the club. I will be working closely with Ben to ensure the identity of our great club is maintained throughout. This is another example of the exciting future for Wingate & Finchley”

Until government guidelines allow, we are not able to confirm any dates for trials or open sessions, but if you would like to be considered please send your football CV to development@wingatefinchley.com
