Ahead of Saturday's season opener against Dulwich Hamlet, the club has announced that Joe Sharpe will be joining the Board as joint vice chairman. Joe will work alongside Nicky Rifat as fellow vice chairman and Aron Sharpe as chairman. Joe was a former Wingate & Finchley player, having progressed through the club's youth set-up, appearing alongside current first team manager Ahmet Rifat on a number of occasions, and being very familiar with the set-up of the club.
Speaking on the announcement, Joe Sharpe said "I'm really proud that I'm starting my role as vice chairman of Wingate & Finchley FC. Thank you to Aron Sharpe, Nicky Rifat and Andrew Kouroushi along with the rest of the team, we are going to take the club to the next level and make it the destination for a premium non-league experience."
Joe has already made a number of positive steps in his new role including developing the bar offering, advancing our commercial partnerships within the local community and introducing a digital ticketing system. All at the club wish Joe well in his new role and look forward to the positive developments which are underway.
