New Director of Football, Simon Lane has announced two new signings for the forthcoming season. Two young midfielders, both from Arlesey Town have agreed to join the club this week. Martel Powell is a former Arsenal trainee that worked with the new Gaffer at Maidenhead United in the Conference South. Also joining is Jevani Brown a former Professional at Peterborough United. The new supremo said "Martel is young lad who I worked closely with at Maidenhead and we've always had a great relationship. He is fantastic technician who had superb assist numbers despite being in a struggling side at Arlesey last year". With regards to Brown, Lane said "Jevani is another young technician with bags of ability and he is really keen to develop his game within the right coaching and learning environment" He continued "Both guys fit the mould of what we require at this club. Young skilled guys who want to develop at a club and progress. It is well documented that we can't compete financially here but what we do offer is investment in them as players and a great environment for them to flourish. Both guys conducted themselves superbly well during discussions and despite interest from other clubs paying more money, they clearly have come to be part of what I am building here and develop within our own family". Of the existing squad, Lane explained "We have some potentially great news regarding the existing squad's "retained list" which I can hopefully share very soon. I have to say that the responses to me from the players, staff and volunteers has been absolutely first class so far."
