The club are delighted to announce that the winner of The London FA’s Bobby Moore Award (sponsored by Panini) for the 2024 Grassroots Heroes Awards is our very own David Wolff! Our Club’s Life Vice President, David Wolff is also League Chairman for Maccabi (Southern) GB Football League and has been since 1970, overseeing the organisation of the league.

David’s football journey started in the late 1950s as a member of Ivri Maccabi Youth League and is an enthusiastic supporter of West Ham, having also been asked to manage the clubs U16 team. He joined the MSFL Management Committee in December 1963 as Assistant Secretary before becoming Vice Chairman in 1965 before taking on the role of Chairman in 1970, seeing the league grow from one division with 12 teams to a peak of 66 teams. David has also served on the National Maccabi Football Committee, first as Secretary and then as Chairman from 1976 to 2000, organising the Peter Morrisson Trophy and the National Junior Competitions for U11s, U13s and U16s. From 1990-1993, David was Sports Director of Maccabi GB and has attended nearly all of the Maccabi European Games.
David was appointed President of London FA in 2022, having served the county association since 1970. He has also been a long-standing member of their Cups Committee and has also served on the Finance Committee, Disciplinary Committees and Benevolent Fund.
David has touched the lives of the Jewish community through his involvement in Jewish sport including at our club, and long may that continue.
From all at the club, congratulations on your award David!

In Islamic history, the question of Hazrat Muhammad's birthdate is crucial. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born on the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal, which is extensively observed and commemorated by Muslims worldwide, according to reliable sources. Knowing Hazrat Muhammad Date of Birth enables us to consider both his auspicious arrival and the enormous influence he had on humanity. It serves as a reminder of kindness, wisdom, and light for all people, not just a date.
Contributions like his show how strong leadership and long-term vision can leave a lasting legacy. It made me think about sustainability and structure not only in football but also in business. That’s why I’ve been exploring Swiss business immigration opportunities—Switzerland offers a clear legal path for entrepreneurs who want to expand or relocate with purpose. Whether it’s setting up a branch or investing in a well-regulated environment, strong foundations are what drive both sport and enterprise forward.
