New Club Vice-Chairman Announced

With action on the pitch getting closer by the day, Wingate have announced the appointment of Nicky Rifat as the club's new Vice Chairman.


Club chairman Aron Sharpe commented on the appointment,


“The club is focused on progress and has a long-term project in place. With the recruitment of a young and driven committee, we are dedicated to moving the club forward.


"Nicky Rifat's addition to the committee last year and subsequent appointment as Vice Chairman demonstrates the confidence and trust the club has in their abilities. It's always exciting to have fresh perspectives and enthusiastic individuals contributing to the growth and development of a football club.


"Having a young, strong, and committed committee is vital for the success and sustainability of any organisation, including football clubs. They play a crucial role in decision-making, strategic planning, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the club in various aspects, both on and off the field.

With Nicky Rifat as the Vice Chairman, I and the club will benefit from their passion, dedication, and innovative ideas. Their youthfulness can bring a fresh outlook to the committee, fostering a vibrant and progressive environment within the club.

Nicky will contribute to the continued success and growth of the club!”


In accepting his placement, Nicky said,

With plenty of activity happening behind the scenes, the club will return to the pitch in preseason action on Saturday at Barnet Lane, where they kick off preseason preparations against Enfield Borough at midday.
