Sharpe's County Call Up

Our under 21 player Joe Sharpe aged 19, received the honour of a call up to the Middlesex Senior County side to represent them against the AFA at Uxbridge FC on Wednesday 12 March.

Joe who has been a strong presence this season with our under 21 team and has been out on loan with Banbury Town in the Calor Premier, Takeley and currently North Greenford in the Calor Central.Joe was in comfortable surroundings having represented the AFA county team at U16 and being part of the U18 team that won the South of England County League last year. Both his coach and manager from those teams were managing the AFA senior team and the physio was our own Chad Smith. He was also fortunate enough to play alongside ex-Wingate players Max Mitchell and Leon Smith. The game finished 1-1 with Leon Smith scoring the goal and Max Mitchell captaining the team. Joe has the honour of playing county football at every level and the club is proud of the fact that he was the youngest player on the field during the evening, a real credit to our youth development programme.
