Gary Meakin Leaves

Wingate & Finchley announce that manager Gary Meakin is to leave the Club this week. Club Chairman Aron Sharpe said "Gary and I have spoken in depth about the club requirements going forward - the club has a particular pathway that it wishes to follow. These requirements were not in synch with Gary's vision , so I decided that it was best for the club to release Gary from the manager's role and that he pursue his goals elsewhere. The directive when Gary arrived was to maintain our status in the Ryman Premier League, and Gary achieved all that was asked of him which the club shall always be grateful for. I would like on behalf of all at the club to thank Gary for his extremely hard work in his time at Wingate & Finchley. Gary is a fine young manager who I am certain shall be a huge success at whatever club is fortunate to have him." The club are now in the process of finding a new manager and further announcements will be made in due course.
