Wingate & Finchley Football Club is proud to reveal our new badge — a refined, modern design that embraces the future while staying rooted in our tradition.

The updated circular crest reflects unity, evolution, and a clean, contemporary identity. At its heart, we’ve retained the four traditional symbols that honour our club’s unique heritage and the communities that shaped us in 1991 when Wingate FC & Finchley FC merged to form Wingate & Finchley FC:
• The Finch – symbolising Finchley, our home and the heart of our North London identity. The Name first recorded in the 13th Century, the “Finch” after the bird and the “Ley” which suggests the opening in Woodland
• The Seaxes and Saxon Crown – taken from the historic arms of Middlesex, representing our local footballing roots through Finchley FC and our connection to the county’s proud heritage.
• Star of David – honouring Wingate FC’s Jewish heritage and our founding values of inclusion, unity, and resistance to discrimination.
• Horns – derived from Finchley’s civic crest, representing vigilance, strength, and enduring community spirit.
This new badge will roll out out across all club materials and kits this season. We look forward to our supporters wearing it with pride as we honour our past and move boldly into the future.
