Summit Reached

On Thursday the 21st of August 2014 our Under 15s EJA Manager Andrew Kouroushi & his wife Tina reached the top of Africa and the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. After 8 days of walking & aclimatizing to the altitude they had conquered the biggest challenge of their lives. They had climbed the full 5,895 metres or 19,341 feet above sea level, to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care. Andrew described the climb "as the most difficult, soul searching, amazingly beautiful experience. Every day was a different experience, different terrain, different climate, one minute it was 30 degrees the next if the cloud rolled in 0 degrees. The camping was difficult, the night starlit with millions of stars amazing, and the reaching the summit after walking 9 hours through the night exhilarating. We had a fantastic group of climbers, from all walks of life, and this made the climb much easier." What has please them both, is the money they have raised for BREAST CANCER CARE. They currently have raised £9,000 and want to make it £10,000. You can visit our just giving page every penny raised goes directly to Breast Cancer Care.
