Pleased with victory

Assistant manager Steve Clark, in temporary charge for the game against Carshalton Athletic, was extremely happy with the manner of the 1-0 victory on Monday. "I thought we showed real maturity," he said," with our decision-making in particular, and we dealt with all situations thrown at us throughout the game." "The defenders had some difficult moments and made good decisions at the right times, and in general we looked stronger and more resilient as a unit as opposed to the previous three games which have been hit and miss." For the third game running a host of chances went begging for the Blues, but Clark is not worried by this - "Our finishing could have been better, but the most important thing is that the goalscorers are in the right positions to score which is very encouraging." Meanwhile Daniel Morris made his debut this week for the club. The 28 year old striker was previously a West Ham scholar and spent last season at Horsham.
