Manager Gary Meakin has signed two players, Daniel Braithwaite (left) and Joe Foley (right), shortly before the transfer window closes at the end of this week. Left full-back Daniel Braithwaite has joined from Conference South outfit Hayes & Yeading. The thirty-one year old arrives at Summers Lane with a plethora of experience having representing many clubs throughout his career starting at Watford as a trainee, appearing in the FA Youth Cup for The Hornets before being released and appearing for numerous clubs around the non league circuit including Enfield, Chesham Utd, Borehamwood, Hemel Hempstead and Dover Athletic. The defender joined Hayes & Yeading from Chesham in December 2012 making his debut against Dover Athletic, since that time he has amassed fourteen appearances, netting a single goal before being released at the start of March by new boss Tony O’Driscoll. Another player joining is starlet Joe Foley on work experience terms from League One outfit Leyton Orient until the end of the season, although Foley is still available to appear for the Leyton Orient youth team if required. Islington born Central midfielder Foley turned eighteen in January and during last season he accrued an impressive 23 appearances for the Leyton Orient youth side, contributing four goals pitting his skills against such opponents as Portsmouth, Watford and Peterborough. Orient youth boss Andy Edwards commented regarding the loan move of several of his fledgling stars "It's a great opportunity for the lads to go out on loan to clubs that still have a number of games left and get some valuable experience under their belts and hopefully get the opportunity to play some good non-league football.".
